The Old Smokehouse at ElamThéo's Legacy

Contemporary artist Mathis Theodore Wildanger, elder son of Theo Wildanger, died in his country home in the Luxembourg Ardennes Sunday, 19 January 2003 at the age of 67. When he was a young artist in 1956, he earned the coveted "Medaille Officielle de la Ville de Paris" at the Volnay Center in Paris. Jacques, Theo's younger son lives and works in Brussels, Belgium with his wife Louise. He is the sommelier in the world renowned restaurant "Comme Chez Soi".

Theo's Cabin at ElamThe Americans, Jim and Catherine Kincaid, live at Elam, Virginia in a newly restored 18th century log house. This is where Théo painted most of his works and where his art is being cared for and treasured. Théo's granddaughter Caroline and her husband, Rob Anderson, live in nearby Farmville.

Thanks to the miracle of the Internet, the art can readily be shared with the world. Do visit often and enjoy the show!
